I like the food here and I've been approximately 5 times - mainly due to proximity to where I live. My main complaint is the cleanliness and how nice the place looks inside. It could be a bit more clean and definitely needs some cosmetic touches. Moved more recently so not sure when I'll be back. Lover of Indian food though :)

Small place but with outside seating. It was busy with a lot of carry-out business. Meal was wonderful.

The food was very good. I would have given it 5 stars but the naan bread was burned and my order was not correct. We picked up our order. I ordered the chicken tiki masala, I got lamb tiki masala. It was very good but not what I ordered. My partner ordered chicken vindaloo. He said it was great. Inspite of the burned naan bread and ordered being wrong, we will be back. The food was very good.

I am a big fan of Indian food and have never had a meal I didn't like! I usually get the lamb saag but really anything is good. I also got the chicken pakora. And the prices are reasonable. It is a small place though but they have great service!

Out of the handful of Indian places I've been to in the Louisville area, I think after trying this one it's my favorite. This is an interesting place. If you aren't looking in the right direction, you can easily pass it up as it is a repurposed 1 story home. This really gives it an intimate feel. Not fancy by any means. Clean and proper enough to be a fine place. The food itself was fantastic. I ordered a serving of tikka masala (medium heat). The portion was fine and the food was fresh The service was also fantastic. They were always around for refills whenever you needed it . I will definitely be back!

Solid delivery experience. Every time I travel to a new city I have to order Indian food from a mom and pop spot once I get settled into wherever I'm staying. This time, I tried Kashmir. Of course, I checked Yelp first and their 200+ reviews and option to order right off Yelp, made it a quick decision. 45 minutes later it was delivered to my hotel and I was excited to get right to it. It was a Monday and Monday night football was on. My team was playing. Anyhoo, my bubble burst when a few minutes into the first quarter I discovered that my food didn't come with any utensils even though I specifically asked for them. Now you're probably saying, "Jayme, it's Indian food, eat with your hands." And I'll tell you straight up, I really tried. The way the food was packaged made it difficult, but after finally tracking down a fork, I was ready to dive in. The samosas were great, pretty big, and the tamarind sauce was a nice contrast. The naan was alright, but nothing special. The navratan korma, it was the star of the show. Super flavor, great variety of veggies (it's a vegetarian dish), and the sauce was super creamy. That's the one dish I attempt to try everywhere and when compared to the many I've had, this one wasn't too bad at all. In a nutshell, Kashmir was definitely worth a try. If there's a next time, I would pick it up instead. I have a feeling the naan would have been better.

Often, I eat a meal and I'm immediately inspired to write a review. Other times, something becomes so familiar, it hardly seems notable. I guess the opposite is true. If I don't tire of a thing, EVER, it must be special. I ordered Kashmir when I was pregnant, or sick, or whenever and I think I've failed to mention it...despite having continued to eat it weekly for as long as I can remember. Maybe it isn't as obvious as it feels, but Kashmir Indian Restaurant is about as consistent as comfort food can get. It's as sure as tomato soup and grilled cheese on a rainy afternoon. Tonight, I had chicken korma, vegetable samosas, and cheese naan. The picture below is a half order of each. If you're a carryout junkie and love a bargain, Kashmir is for you. My plate is exactly half our order. So, the price is about $30 for two including a tip. I've gotten this meal through third party delivery services, but most often my husband picks it up. It's a pretty big deal to be able to say a place never disappoints after so many orders, but that's how I feel about Kashmir. If you hate spicy altogether, this review probably isn't for you. Even a mild order has some spice. They offer a lot of vegetarian options. Although there are very few foods that aren't really up my alley, I'll admit that lamb is a bit gamy for me. That being said, I do love a gyro, or minced lamb in a samosa, but lamb entrees usually aren't for me. My husband prefers a protein, so we tend to get chicken and most often opt for the meat samosas. Chicken saag, the korma, the tikki masala, those are all at the top of my list. Maybe depending on my mood, but probably in that order. If you're thinking you should give Indian food a try, Kashmir is solid. I love it when it's cold outside. When it's raining. When I'm sick. It got me through a couple pregnancies. When I've needed comfort food, Kashmir has delivered. I wish I could speak on it's ambiance, but I have literally never stepped foot in the place. (Hi, Kashmir! It's the wife of "pickup order for Kyle" here! Thanks for dinner tonight! We'll see ya next week.)

Really good food. My husband and I are in Louisville for the weekend. We found this place and decided to give it a go. We thought there was a lunch buffet. They no longer have a buffet. We shared the non veg assorted appetizers (so yum) and the Special Thali. My husband also had a mango lassi. The food was excellent. The house made onion chutney and the tamarind chutney were both fabulous. All of the bites on the appetizer platter was great. The thali was wonderful. The dal makhni was especially delicious. The restaurant is in what was once a house. It's not fancy, but the food is SO good!! A couple of other highlights for me are the fish pakora and the lamb curry...wow
